The Depot Museum Complex is clustered on five acres with 11 buildings including a historic oil derrick, cotton gin, historic carousel, Missouri Pacific Caboose and the famous Arnold Outhouse, with a Texas State Historical Marker. In the visitor’s center visitors are treated to an orientation video that sets the stage for a tour of the complex. There are several building that have a Texas State Historical Marker.
The Depot Museum is also the location for: The Annual Heritage Syrup Festival the 2nd Saturday in November. Step back in time and watch sugarcane syrup being made with the help of mule power. Enjoy folk artists, musical entertainment, antique tractors and many more at the Depot. Catch one of the many hayride shuttles to the Historic Downtown. Downtown offers vendor shopping, musical entertainment, cloggers & square dancers, antique classic cars and much more.
